Yesterday's Election From a Future REPUBLICAN Teenager.
Well yesterday's election was uhhh.... SHOCKING.. to say the least! But was it really a major surprise to the Republicans? For the first time in I believe 140 years Republicans lost control of Montgomery County! I do not have to go into detail of the events of yesterday for most of us surely know what happened but I do feel compelled to ask Montgomery County Republicans.. Have we given up? I ask this because yesterday I myself campaigned in Lower Providence for REPUBLICAN candidate for Supervisor Janice Kearney, a very hard working, trustworthy, qualified prospect. But to my dismay I noticed that certain "Republican Elected" officials of Lower Providence were handing out DEMOCRATIC BALLOTS!!! Why am I, a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD high school student who does not hold a political office, campaigning for Republican Candidates while the people who do hold these positions are shying away. Have they lost hope in their own party they represent? Or are they just selfishly concerned with their own political futures. I cannot speak for all the other various townships in Montgomery County but I can conclude if our own Republican leaders who represent the Republican Party campaign for Democratic candidates, are the registered Republican Voters doing the same. I am not old enough to vote yet, but I am old enough to realize that the Republican Candidates of yesterday's elections were more than qualified and absolutely deserved to win their prospective elections, however their downfall very well may be attributed to the careless and selfish actions of certain Republican Office Holders.
